Bournville Primary School one of the best in the country for pupil progress!
Bournville Primary School has received national recognition for the value it adds to its pupils’ achievements in the key stage 2 tests.
The school has qualified for an SSAT Educational Outcomes Award by being in the top 20% of primary schools nationally for progress made by pupils between their key stage 1 tests, taken at age seven, and their key stage 2 tests, taken at age 11.
The school has been invited to receive their award at a regional celebration ceremony hosted by SSAT at Waverley School in Birmingham on 04 June.
Sue Williamson, Chief Executive of SSAT said:
‘Bournville Primary School should be congratulated for their exceptional achievement. They have proved themselves to be leading the field in improving outcomes for their pupils. There is so much good practice that this school could share, and I hope many schools will join us at the celebration ceremony for the chance to network and share strategies with award-winning schools.
‘These results are testament to the commitment and hard work of the students, teachers and leadership team at Bournville Community Primary School, and show what can be achieved when skilled teachers have high expectations and ambition for every child. I am proud that this school is a member of the SSAT network.’
Adam Matthews, Headteacher at Bournville Primary School said:
‘It’s great to be recognised. Being in the top 2% of top 20% of schools nationally in terms of KS2 pupil progress is the net result of hard work by the children and the outstanding staff team that support them. The stuff that goes on in this school is amazing – long may it continue’.
