What a great start to 6a the children have had!
We have started the year by thinking about our ‘mindset’ and learning about ‘fixed’ and ‘growth’ mindsets. This has really helped us tackle some problem solving in maths- but it’s not just for maths! We can use this thinking in all subjects.
Last week, we celebrated Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday with lots of writing activities. We also made strawberry-flavoured, chocolate-coated fudge.
The class have settled into many of the new routines really well- including reading every night and using their reading records for this. They know they have PE on Wednesdays and Thursdays and library on Friday.
Until next week!
