Last Tuesday, Year 3/4 teamed up with Hutton, Windwhistle and Oldmixon to hold our Raise the Roof music festival.  It was themed around the environment which really suited our topic well!  It was so loud with all the schools singing in the hall, we could hardly hear the music!

We sang songs like ‘Can a Can’ and ‘We need plants but they don’t need us’ and Alice was playing her violin.  We also sang ‘It’s our World’, ‘How much wood…’ and ‘I went into the kitchen.’  Our favourite song was ‘What’s it worth, Planet Earth’.

We used recycled bits and bobs to make all sorts of musical instruments.  We also made recycled clothes out of plastic bags and boxes.  We were inspired by the BBC Ten Pieces to create a storm scene using the instruments.  It was awesome!

Here are some photos of us taking part in the festival:IMG_1501 IMG_1508 IMG_1520
