We are delighted to announce that the Ofsted team who visited the school on 21st and 22nd of May 2015 have judged our school to be Outstanding in all areas.
The many highlights of the inspection report include the glowing reference to our children’s behaviour, attitudes to learning and their overall achievement.
“The behaviour of pupils is outstanding.” Ofsted, May 2015
“Pupils participate wholeheartedly in learning and appreciate the close help they receive, for example to develop their speaking and listening skills confidently and effectively. This includes pupils joining the school other than at the normal time, those from minority ethnic backgrounds, and pupils who speak English as an additional language; all make excellent progress.” Ofsted, May 2015
The report reflects clearly what we do at Bournville and what we have been doing over time for all our children.
We are particularly pleased with what is said about our pupils and community; that attitudes to learning are exemplary and that children’s behaviour is a credit to our families, school and community.
We have worked tirelessly since our school was created in 2008 to ensure that we have teaching of the highest standard. Through the use of high quality professional development and research carried out in partnership with the North Somerset Learning Exchange we have achieved this and continue to push practice further. This work and ethic has resulted in a phenomenal team of classroom based and specialist staff.
We are a team at Bournville Primary School and that is the key to our success the children are a delight and make us proud every day.
This is also fantastic news for the Weston-super-Mare Co-operative Education Trust with whom we work closely to create better futures for all of our community’s children.
