Upper Key Stage 2 kick started their new topic today with a Victorian school WOW day.
The 4 classes were divided in to three with boys and girls having to line up and sit separately to the girls. Lessons consisted on practising handwriting, chanting tables and reciting the Kings and Queens of England from 1066. Everyone made sure that they sat up straight in silence, stood up when an adult entered the room and only spoke when they were spoken to so that they did not face a punishment of writing lines, facing the wall or wearing the dunce hat!
The afternoon was spent cooking jam roly-poly, cross stitching and making wooden frames in a word work lesson.
