Stones and bones …

We soon realised it would have taken lots of people to move the stones!

We went to Stonehenge and it was brilliant. Above are some photos of the day. We went on a double decker bus to get there and watched dvds on the way. This afternoon, we started to write a recount about the trip and are including some fun facts in our writing.

In maths, we have been learning about right angles. We used a piece of paper to make a right angle checker and we looked for right angles in the classroom.  Using our knowledge of right angles, we made a treasure map and challenged another pair to follow it to the treasure. Today in maths we carried out a  maths investigation where we needed to use our learning about time and right angles. We discovered that the minute hand travels through 1 right angle every 15 minutes.

We couldn’t do fencing this week as Mr Elliot had lost the equipment! However, we did get to do archery instead which some of us preferred.

Bye for now!
