Today year 5 and 6 headed into Bristol for a visit to Brunel’s SS Great Britain.
We were able to spend the day exploring the 3 decks of the ship, as well as looking underneath the ship at the anchor and propellor and gaining lots of information about the history of the ship inside the hands on museum.
Throughout the day we were set the challenge of finding the answers to our SS Great Britain quiz where we had to find out the names of the decks, the name of the barber and surgeon and count the number of wax work people on board as well as many others. We found it tricky to count the number of flags on the weather deck as there were so many!
Our favourite part of the day was getting to dress up as passengers on board the ship.
