This week has been really exciting in 5b!
On Tuesday, we ventured to Plymouth to visit the Army Commando Base. When we arrived we were surprised at how big the base was and how many people worked there! We had a drill rehearsal and learnt to march like real soldiers and learnt some of the solider commands. In the afternoon, we had a tour of the battlements. We learnt about the history of the base and how the base is used to protect soldiers. We had a fantastic day and were very tired on the way home.
Wednesday morning we had some special visitors into class. They set us a challenge to build the biggest tetrahedron that we could in teams. We were very successful and the final tetrahedron nearly touched the ceiling! We had to think carefully about our communication skills as some of the challenge needed to be completed in silence!
Hope everybody has a lovely weekend,
