This week we started a new book ‘The pebble in my pocket’. It is all about how a pebble was made. To find out we travel back in time to discover what it was like millions of years ago. John-Paul thinks that the best part is when the mountains are formed by blocks of land being crushed together! We have started to write our own descriptions of historical scenes from the book using similes and metaphors to create a picture in the reader’s head.
We were very lucky to have Wilmott-Dixon Construction in class (who built our school!) They challenged us to make a huge tetrahedron OUT OF SMALLER individual Tetrahedrons. We managed to build a stage 4 Tetrahedron with Maddi’s directions which nearly touched the lights.
In Maths we have been learning how to tell the time, even on a 24 hour clock. Most of 3a were getting very good at this! Sorry we sign off now, have you seen the time?!
