Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to 3b and welcome back to the new school term. We hope that your Christmas was restful and children are feeling refreshed for the new term. We have kick-started the new term by introducing a new book in English. The title is still a mystery whilst we make prediction about the plot and setting, however, all will be revealed very soon! In Maths, we are learning about multiplication and division – please ensure that your child is learning their times tables regularly up to 12×12 as this will support their mathematical understanding. Our topic this term is ‘Body Magic’ which is Science based. The children will be learning about what our body is made up of, how our body works and how we can look after our bodies. PE will remain on a Wednesday and Thursday, so please ensure that children have their kits in school at all times. As the weather is cold, we recommend some warmer PE clothes such as jogging bottoms and a jumper (occasionally sessions will be held outside).

To support your child’s learning, we ask that you to read with them at least 3 times a week. Learning of times tables should be regular ready for their weekly test and of course children can research into our Body Magic topic.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mrs Richards and Class 3b.
