We had a fantastic day last Monday when we celebrated the jewish festival of Hanukkah. We learned about the traditions and about the original Miracle of the Menora – a story from long ago. We were lucky enough to have had a visitor called Rodney, who came all the way from Manchester to tell us stories and to explain more about his religion. It was really interesting and we learned a lot.
We also made some dreidels and menorah for our classroom and in the afternoon we learned jewish dancing with a visiting dancer, Leanne! We had lots of fun.
Last week we completed our healthy eating unit by going to Frankie and Benny’s for pizza-making! Roisin was very kind to us and gave us all vouchers to use with our families at the restaurant.
Have a good weekend.
