In only two weeks, we successfully completed an exhibition on Ancient and Modern Greece and we want to tell you all about it. We created Medusa heads by painting paper plates green and cutting green card for snakes. One of the things we also made was Greek wax vases that we scratched off to make beautiful, fancy patterns.
In Literacy, we have been writing and publishing persuasive posters to encourage people to visit Greece. We have also be reading Theseus and the Minotaur. We wrote letters in role as the Minotaur to his parents who had been very cruel and locked him away for many years.
The most exciting part of the week was having a visit from Demitri from Demitri’s restaurant. He told us all about Greek food and we were even able to try some! After his visit we were inspired to do some our own cooking so we handmade pitta bread which was served at the exhibition.
We have had a fantastic couple of weeks and have learnt a lot!
