 2 x Teaching Assistant Posts with HLTA Status

 

Hours: 32 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Contract: Fixed Term until 31st August 2019 (pending review) term time only plus 5 inset days

Salary: E5 (£20,660 to £23,398 per annum, pro rata)

Required: 1ST September 2018

We wish to appoint two experienced Teaching Assistants to work in our highly professional and friendly team. These posts include HLTA duties, which, when undertaken, will be paid at a higher rate in line with the school pay policy.

The post-holder will be required to work with a wide range of children, including those with special education needs, and support different learning styles.  The role demands the following:

  • Leading learning in small groups or 1:1
  • Participating in classroom activities
  • Supporting off-site visits
  • Assessing students
  • Working with parents
  • Pastoral care
  • Team planning
  • Maintaining the classroom environment
  • Creating and maintaining classroom resources
  • Promoting and following school behaviour policies
  • Working with outside agencies
  • Communicating and working with other staff.
  • Confidence to lead and deliver intervention strategies.

Applicants will be expected to have achieved at least an NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification and be working towards/have completed a HLTA qualification.

Calling all Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants – an exciting opportunity has arisen for you to be able to join the team at ELAN (Extend Learning Academies Network).

We are currently in the process of setting up a new Supply/Bank staff register and are looking for suitably experienced, enthusiastic and motivated supply/bank Teachers, Teaching Assistants & Learning Support Assistants to join our friendly team

Once you have been accepted to be placed on our register you will be eligible to work in any of our 7 school across North Somerset which we currently have within our MAT

You will need a flexible approach and be able to work various hours, sometimes at short notice

Experience of working with children, ideally in a school environment is essential
