This week the nursery children have been using their imagination to create sea monsters from salt dough. First we generated descriptive ideas on the carpet and we used words like “Prickly”, “Squidgy” and “Slimy”.
We tried to imagine what our sea creatures would eat and what their home would look like under the sea. This really helped us to develop our ideas ready for making our sea creature models.
When they have hardened we are going to paint them and name them and then they will be on display…..don’t get scared !
We also used our growing vocabulary to create captions to describe Brenda the Sea monster. How would you have described her?
We look forward to sharing more nursery news with you soon.
