Celebrating VE day

This week has been a short one but here in 1A we have crammed a lot in.

Sadly on Wednesday we said goodbye to Miss Britt, we hope she is back on her feet and back in school soon!! Luckily Ms MJ has stepped into the role seamlessly, we are really pleased to have her in the classroom.

We have continued our story writing with some weird and wonderful middle sections including poisonous snails and magical castles that turn into dog houses.

Today was VE day and we celebrated street party style. Wartime treats included chicken paste sandwiches, cheese twists, rock cakes and ginger bread men. We performed a conga line around the school and observed a two minute silence in memory of those who died during the war.

Helping hands this week were Tia and Matty.
