Bit of a 1B update.

The last few weeks have seen us take part in many wonderful things as well as continue with the norm.

We have been lucky enough (thanks to the efforts of Mr Spear) to have been able to use the new school iPads.  In our first lesson we were given the chance to play around with them and test our skills on them. We especially liked the photo filter app which allowed us to change our faces.  With any luck, we may be able to start our own Lego animations using a special iPad app… this space.

In the last week, we have also taken part in the 2016 Bournville Primary School Arts Week.  This gave us the opportunity to let our creative juices flow and take part in a range of wonderful art sessions using the “Under the Sea” theme.  On Wednesday morning, we invited parents into the class to take part in our final open morning of year. The children were able to create sand sculptures, wax washes and tin foil fish. The arts week ended with us visiting the art gallery in the main hall.  This is where we were able to view the wonderful work we had created a couple of weeks before and, just like any other art gallery, parents were able to buy our pieces of work.

Over the last 16 weeks, 1B have been very lucky to have had Miss Bodman complete her final PGCE placement in class.  She worked extremely hard in this time and we were very sad to see her leave on Friday.  We wish her the best of luck as she prepares to take on her very own class in Bristol from September.

The final 3 and 1/2 weeks of term are now upon us and they look to be as busy as ever.  Fingers crossed the British weather will make its mind up for a chance and shine down on us.  As always, if there are any questions then please feel free to come and see me.
