Beware of low flying birds!

This week in 2a Maisy’s grandparents brought in some of the birds that they work with. We saw Moses, the Peregrine falcon, who can fly as fast as 200 mph when diving. That means he is the fastest animal in the world! We also saw Lilly, the barn owl flying around the room. We were amazed at how quiet she was when she was flying (it makes it easier for her to catch her prey). We loved Arnie, the starling, who was flying and then landing on heads. Finally we saw a very impressive golden eagle called Tilly.
