Bournville Primary School is an OUTSTANDING School!

Another week in 4B!

Hi 4B fans.  Here’s some more exciting things we have been doing in and out of our class.

In English, we have been writing stories set in World War Two.  We have learned to bring the settings alive using descriptive noun phrases and prepositional phrases.  Exciting stuff!

In PE, we have learned body movements and controlling our speeds.  We have started a learning journey on Gymnastics.  Some of us attend the gymnastics club so we should be experts at this!

This week, Radiyya has read 1000 pages on the Reading Challenge.  She was able to choose a book from Amazon for 1p and it should arrive next week.  Taya isn’t far behind on 800 pages and so she will be receiving her special bookmark for her achievement.

In French, we have been learning the Simpson family.  Here are some words to do with families in French: mere, pere, soeur.  We have also been learning adjectives.  Here they are: drole/ funny, jolie/ happy, mince/thin and villain/naughty.

In maths, we have been learning column subtraction.  We also used Beyoncé ‘To the left, to the left’ to find a quick way of multiplying by 10, 100 and 1000.  We have also started to learn about decimal place value using Beyoncé as well.  (To the right, to the right!)
