This week we found out about a Jewish festival called Yom Kippur. We made bread, wrote our names in Hebrew, painted goblets (see photos), made peace and forgiveness cards and wrote sorry prayers. We celebrated at the end of the day by holding a feast! We ate the bread we made and dipped it in houmous, we also dipped apple slices and raisins in honey. “It was excellent!” remarked Tyler.
We also started reading a new book called ‘Krindlekrax’. The story is about Ruskin who wants to be a SUPERHERO in the school play but there’s another boy, called Elvis, who also wants the part. We haven’t finished the book yet, but it sounds really good.
