In English, to link with our dragon art week, we described our own dragon ensuring we used effective adjectival phrases. We then created our dragon’s egg from paper mâiché. Once they had dried we decorated them according to the characteristics of our eggs – some of our parents helped us!
During arts afternoon, we moulded our dragons from clay. This task was very tricky and fiddly. Our clay dragon needed to look like the description we had written. At this point, some of us wished we hadn’t been so elaborate in our written descriptions!!!
We have also been working on our sketching skills again and have had several attempts of drawing a dragon. Each time our partner helped critique our work to see how we could improve it. Some of us also tried mark making techniques to create the scale effect on the dragon.
