So much has happened in 6a this week! As well as lots of maths and English lessons where we are all working very hard, we have tackled plenty of science and art.
On Monday, the Explorer Dome arrived and transported us into space. The dark, cosy atmosphere of the dome made it perfect for a spot of star gazing and learning about the planets and stars above us.
Tuesday was our WOW day where each class undertook four separate missions- one in each Space Lab along the Y5/6 corridor. From balloon rockets to space craters, no mission was impossible as our brave space cadets challenged themselves to achieve each task.
We spent a lovely afternoon exploring mixing paint and creating different shades of colours which we will be using in our final pieces of work next week. It was such a lovely calm session with everyone completely absorbed in their work.
Our reading sessions supporting the younger children, both at lunch times and on a Friday, are gong really well and children look forward to finding their buddy and spending time with them.
On Friday, we paid our respects during the two minutes silence and 6a conducted themselves perfectly.
Next week, we have author, Dave Rudden, coming to visit! Should be fun!
