What a busy week we’ve had- again!
Not only have we been hard at work in maths leaning more about division, we have been developing our speed with arithmetic questions. We all know how important it is for us to know our tables really well and next week some of us will be having extra sessions with Mrs Waldron, playing games and finding ways of improving our knowledge of these.
In Literacy, we have started our new book, Treason, which is set during the reign of Henry VIII. We have also been learning about different tenses and verb forms.
On Tuesday, we were really lucky to have a visit from Paralympian, Ben Rushgrove. We took part in a circuit training session which was great fun. All of 6a were amazing and participated with great enthusiasm.
On Thursday, we had a Wheelchair Basketball session which we all loved. After school, we had a ‘Harry Potter Night’ celebration which was great fun.
We finished the week by sharing stories with our new Penguin book buddies. Everyone read beautifully with their partner; we look forward to getting together again next week!
To round everything off, we spent some time before Fab Friday playing ‘The Shape Game’ as today was National Doodle Day. We read the book by Anthony Browne and then released our creativity!
Another lovely week!
