It’s been another exciting week in 6a!
We have been very busy in our Literacy and maths lessons and all our hard work is paying off. However, we all know that we should be practising our tables at home and reading every day.
Talking of reading, we are getting very good at all remembering to read each night and fill in our reading records! Well done, 6a- keep it up!
The highlight of this week has to have been the Science Dome that visited on Tuesday. Each class in year 5 and 6 spent a fascinating hour in this igloo-like structure, learning about light.
So, shoes off everyone… let’s crawl inside!
Once inside, the team demonstrated and explained many of the scientific principles of light.
We saw that light travels in straight lines, investigated mixing coloured light, learned about the spectrum, how shadows are formed- and so much more!
All too soon, it was time to emerge, blinking into the daylight, but it was an experience that none of us will forget in a hurry.
What will next week bring?
