We have been using adjectives and similes for descriptive writing of a storm. Before we did this, we used our new magpie books to collect words and phrases that we liked and would help in our description.
In maths, we have been using our skills of adding and subtracting multiples of ten to help us subtract and add near multiples of ten. We have linked this to money. Some of us are using number squares or number lines but we all aim to do this mentally.
For art, we finished our Quentin Blake illustrations and we have painted storm pictures.
We have a new class pet which was made by Jono. He sits in our book corner with our reading Ted. Here is a picture of Spike.
We have been singing a new song, Lean on Me, to make sure we are fantastic singers in assembly. We have also listened to classical music that made us think of storms and relaxing calm seas. The storm music made some of us jump. This reminded us of thunder and lightning.
Thank you to year 5 & 6 children. We went to their Greek museum which was ‘awesome’.
