First of all we would like to apologize for the fact that this is our first blog update and post (a few teething problems in logging in). From now we hope to update our class blog as regularly as possible – please forgive me if it takes a little while to work out how to add photos and such.
Last week was a fantastic week which ended in our Pirate Workshop. Over the course of the last 2 terms, the children have worked hard learning about Pirates in all areas of the curriculum. This event allowed them to show off some of their learning with their parents. There were several stalls set up. Some of these included a pirate photo booth, knot tying and even steel drums. We are now coming to the end of our Land Ahoy! pirate topic and we will be soon moving into a short Christmas topic. The staff in KS1 have also already started to discuss the topic for Term 3 and 4 and I must admit that it is going to be an exciting one.
With the new topic in mind, we would like to ask that if any children receive new hats, gloves, scarfs or wellington boots over the Christmas period that parents could consider donating old ones to the school so we can always have the option of taking the children into the outdoor learning environment.
Class 1B will try to update you on the news of this week (W.B 30th Nov) on Friday.
That’s all for now 🙂
