In maths we have started working on a new journey, Muffin Maths, and we are very excited. We have talked about what skills we need to practise so that we can make marvellous muffins. Today, we were measuring length. We need to make sure the muffin tins we choose will fit in the oven!
We have been reading more about Varjak Paw and have written a discursive text about whether he should go into the Outside. Also, we have thought about what he might find in the Outside if he does go over the wall and have produced some descriptive writing of our ideas. Varjak is a Mesopotamian Blue so, after thinking about reliability of websites, we have started some research into this breed of cats. So far, we have found out that you get more information if you search for Russian Blues!
To help build up our reading stamina (how long we can read for) we have thought about desirable and non-desirable reading behaviours and also where we feel most comfortable reading. Can you tell from the pictures below which are desirable and which are not?
We are thinking about bodies in French and in science! We have started learning Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in French and had great fun trying to remember the French words while doing the actions. In science, we let Mrs Gren help us remember the characteristics of being alive. Working in groups, we then produced posters. Mrs Paddon was impressed with our team work and our posters. Here we are cooperating with each other.
Have a good weekend. 3b
