KS1 went to Paignton Zoo last Thursday. We saw lots of different animals. We saw some cheeky monkeys and while we were eating our fruit they were eating theirs too! One monkey had a moustache and there was a tiny baby monkey exploring. We even saw a great big gorilla picking it’s nose…yuk.
We also saw a cheetah, giraffes, elephants, a camel and 2 rhinoceroses. It was great fun walking around and looking at the animals and exciting and a bit scary when we walked across a very wobbly bridge!!
We learnt about the rainforests. Our teacher had visited real rainforests! We learnt about the different layers … the forest floor, the under storey, the canopy and the emergent layer and about some of the animals that live there.
WE HAD AN ABOSOLUTELY AMAZING ADVENTURE!! photos to follow …
