At swimming, some of us tried to swim in the deep end for the first time. Initially we were a bit nervous but in the end we were as brave as a Roman soldier and nearly all of us managed to jump off the diving board.
We visited Wales to see the Roman Museum, Baths, Amphitheatre and barracks. (see photos) It was awesome because it was all about the past and we were surprised at how big everything was. In the museum the standard barer wore a bear’s skin to signal that he was strong and very important. We all had a chance to dress up either as slaves or rich Romans and as Roman soldiers. (The armour was so heavy we needed a partner to help us put it on…Hayden thought it was great fun!)
Good news! Our winter legends are very nearly finished. We will post some exerts next week.
