Roll up, Roll up to read 3b’s news!

Our topic this week was Roll up, Roll up and so we have been learning about the circus. We saw a fantastic circus show and there were magic tricks and clever circus skills. The performers were very funny and they squirted water at us. After the show, we got to try spinning a plate ourselves. We were pretty good at it. Here are some photos:

We think it’s very exciting in KS2 but the work is harder. We have agreed that’s ok because it means we are learning. We agreed our class rules and we are being kind to each other.

In maths, we have been learning how to spell numbers up to a hundred and we have been making sure we understand place value of 3 digits numbers.   In literacy, we have written, edited and published a list poem about the circus. Some of us are finding it difficult to write our DUMTUM (date and title) but we know we will get it right in the end so that our books look neat. We have also spent some time thinking about what a ‘Better Learner’ will look like and sound like in our classroom. We are going to give each other certificates when we spot some fantastic better learning happening. There are going to be lots of certificates as we will all be better learners!
